More than 500 million miles from Earth is a world that is covered with an ocean, topped by an icy crust. This ocean world, called Europa, is one of Jupiter’s many moons. Scientists are interested in learning more about Europa because on Earth, where you find water, you can find life. Could ocean-covered Europa have conditions suitable for life, too?
In October 2024, NASA will launch a robotic explorer, called Europa Clipper, to learn more about Europa. Celebrate the launch with us by playing launch bingo! Here’s how:
- Download and print the bingo boards below. There are five different versions of the bingo board, so you can get a bingo in different ways!
- Visit the Europa Clipper launch broadcast page to watch the broadcast from your computer, phone, or tablet.
- Cross off each box on the board when you hear any of these words mentioned in the broadcast.
- Once you have five words in a row – a bingo – ask a grownup to share a photo of your board with us on social media, tagging @NASASolarSystem or @EuropaClipper and using the hashtag #EuropaClipper.
