Greenland Coast

The snow and ice of Greenland's coast appear white in this image; the glaciers' light blue ice and visible gray lines make them stand out in the image from other snow-covered regions. Small light-blue icebergs are floating in the midnight-blue water.

Guinea-Bissau, West Africa

Guinea-Bissau is a small country in West Africa. Complex patterns can be seen in turquoise and light blue the shallow waters along its coastline, where silt carried by the Geba and other rivers washes out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Icefall, Lambert Glacier, Antarctica

The Lambert Glacier in Antarctica is the world's largest glacier. At the center of the picture, you can see an icefall. Ice flows like water, except much more slowly. You can see cracks in this icefall as it bends and twists on its slow-motion fall 400 meters (1300 feet) to the glacier below.
